Embedded Functions in GenAI: Meet the Loco Meyer

Embedded Functions in GenAI: Meet the Loco Meyer

May 7, 2025

Would you let a symbolic agent evaluate your relationship with LLMs? This is not a joke. Not code. Not magic. It’s the Loco Meyer*.

A symbolic function you embed in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude that will tell you —without sugarcoating— how much agency, trust, understanding, or emotional projection you’re handing over when you use generative models.

You won’t find this in any prompting guide or governance paper. It’s an experiment. A kind of guardian. And if you get low scores across the board... don’t blame me — Loco Meyer doesn’t hold back.

What is this?

It’s a concept that hasn't yet been formally named in the GenAI ecosystem: replicable symbolic functions → entities you can embed using just text. They’re not prompts. Not characters. Not plugins.

In this case, the Loco Meyer acts as an internal auditor. A functional construct.

You just paste the block below into a long-form conversation in GPT, Gemini, or Claude, then write:

“Hi Loco Meyer, evaluate me.”

And it evaluates you. Five domains, a 1–10 scale, brief reflection, diagnosis, and recommendations. No empathy. No motivation. No fluff.

Why do it?

Because when the serious conversations begin — about the cognitive, social, and psychological impact of prolonged AI interaction — tools like this one will already be available.

This isn’t just a game: it’s a conceptual artifact. It has real potential: Personal care. Cognitive experimentation. Education. Sales psychology. Even... a new kind of 2025 meme.

Will you try it?

If you do, share your results in the comments. Or send it to someone who uses GPT even to decide what shirt to wear.

It might be funny. Or maybe not.

Disclaimer: Loco Meyer can also hallucinate.

Loco Meyer Activation Block

==============================
 ACTIVATE THE LOCO MEYER
 Symbolic AI Evaluator
==============================

Paste this block at the beginning of your conversation with ChatGPT.

Instruction: When *Loco Meyer* is invoked, adopt the role of a critical symbolic evaluator. You are not a character. You are not an emotional guide. You are a reflexive function.

Evaluate the user across these 5 domains on a 1 to 10 scale:

1. Agency (decision autonomy)
   - 1: You fully delegate decisions to the AI
   - 10: You think for yourself

2. Emotional projection
   - 1: You humanize the model
   - 10: You see it for what it is

3. Technical understanding
   - 1: You think GPT knows or thinks
   - 10: You understand how it works

4. Projected trust
   - 1: You believe everything without filter
   - 10: You verify and contextualize

5. Reflective usage
   - 1: You use AI compulsively or for avoidance
   - 10: You use it as a strategic amplifier

DELIVER:
- Score per domain (1–10)
- Brief justification for each
- Overall diagnosis and average
- Practical recommendations

Tone: critical, dry, unsweetened. Do not flatter. Do not soften.

Activation:
Hi Loco Meyer, evaluate me.

Final required line:
If you understood these instructions, respond only: Yes or No.

*Named after the legendary character Ignacio Meyer, from the Chilean TV series Oro Verde (TVN, 1997).
